TRANSITION TO THE INFORMATION RESOURCE MANAGEMENT ENVIRONMENT - HOW TO DO IT

Transition from react-mode IS/IT to the IRM Environment involves actualizing the Six Critical Success Factors for IRM described in detail in the CONCEPTS OF INFORMATION RESOURCE MANAGEMENT seminar. This informational (not skill-building) seminar presents much more supporting detail on the template IRM Transition Plan, breaking it down into detailed task/deliverable descriptions explaining exactly what must be done in each step, the necessary sequence of the steps, the rationale for each step, to change the enterprise from react-mode information management to a rational, intelligent mode of Information Resource Management. This plan of course addresses each of the six IRM Critical Success Factors, and ensures each is completely satisfied/accomplished before others which are contingent upon it are initiated. This seminar is for the company which is serious about establishing an effective IRM environment, and is ready to plan their transition from react-mode IS/IT.

This template plan must be adapted by each enterprise for its particular circumstances; in some cases, some of the tasks of the IRM Transition Plan may be unnecessary, or already accomplished. In other cases, some existing issue may require additional task(s) to be added to the plan. Transition from the dis-integrated applications systems environment to the IRM enviroment must be carefully and realistically planned, and then the plan must be resolutely executed. Behavior on the part of senior management, business management, and the IS/IT organization must be irreversibly changed, and this seminar teaches exactly what must be done, and in what sequence, to make those changes.
